Join Our Board of Commissioners
Forest City Housing Authority is looking for two new Commissioners to join our Board. We have 2 positions available. Applicants must live in the city limits of Forest City or the ETJ to serve on our Board.
Commissioners are not compensated for their time and service to the community, but they serve as a person committed to public service. Serving on a board of commission is a very rewarding way to get involved in and serve in your community. Your vision and voice will be a valuable asset to the housing authority and to the residents of Rutherford County that are already living in or in need of affordable
housing options.
FCHA Board members are appointed by the Mayor of Forest City subject to the approval of the City's Board of Commissioners.
All Board members are required to complete a Commissioner Certification Training within the first 120 days of being appointed. A Certification Certificate will be awarded and displayed at the Forest City Housing Authority Office.
FCHA holds monthly meetings normally on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 12:00 pm.
If you are interested in serving in one of these positions, please fill out the online Application on the Town of Forest City's website. (Government tab and then Boards & Commissions)
